  Check the resistor bank, in the plenum, which is what drops the voltage and gives the blower motor different fan speeds.

  I have been thru the fuse busses (?) per the owners manuals and can't find the problem. It[they] just stopped working. The switches have never given any indication of poor contacts, and the rear blower just stopped - no indications nor odd sounds. Any suggestions? Pls advise.

  Your compressor is going out. The noise is the idler pully pounding on the metal hydralic line for the transmission cooler. You will need to change your compressor!

  I hope you had the condensor lines capped off to prevent the rest of the system from becoming contaminated. Otherwise other components may be damaged.

  That's what engine lights are for, so that you will plug in a scanning tool and find out the trouble code. This is your cue to do that. Long shots might be a) a loose gas cap or b) some kind of vacuum leak, loose hose, etc.

  the problem could be the radiator fan clutch. while driving there is enough air blowing across a/c condenser and radiator. when you stop if the fan clutch is defective, there is not sufficent air flowing to cool freon in condenser coil.

  Unplug the compressor power wire. If the driver turns on the defroster in the fall/winter to defrost the windshield, that will turn on the compressor to get the humidity out....and you'll break another tensioner on the road somewhere.

  I called the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center. The phone number is listed in the owners manual. My vehicle had low mileage when the transmission broke, which is probably why they agreed to pay some of the repair bill. If your vehicle has high mileage the results may be different.

  Hello, Just purchased a 2002 tahoe. First chevy I've owned. Love it but not sure about one thing: The OIL PRESSURE gauge moves around. At idle it sits about 40-45psi and spikes to 60-70 ish psi when I hit the gas. Is this normal behavior???????? Dealership I purchased it from says it is. Also how good is the G80 Locking rear diff, thats what it came with. Thanx :-)

  My mother-in-law is not able to go in reverse. She put her Tahoe in reverse and heard a loud clunk. She is still able to use the forward gears, but thats it.
