BMW 6-Series Lease Questions

  • Re: I need some help on a decision [brandyf1]

You're not wasting my time at all, brandyf1. I'm always glad to help. Did you say that the salesperson who you spoke with wanted you to make a $50,000 down payment on your lease ?!?!? You were right to walk away from that deal. It's never a good idea to make a large down payment on a leased vehicle. I would be happy to give you an idea of what sort ... Read More

Hi jtrejo. The money factor that you were quoted for this car looks good to me. It is right in line with BMW Financial Services' buy rate for a 36 month lease of this car to a non-returning customer with a waived security deposit. This is a good sign. Now let's take a look at the other important aspect of this deal, the selling price. A 2007 BMW M6 Coupe that ... Read More

Hi doclonghorn. I would be happy to estimate what the lease payment would be like on this car for you. In order for me to do so I need to know its approximate selling price. For now I will assume that you are getting a $3,000 discount on it. If you are able to negotiate a better price, the payment will be lower than what I come up with and vice ... Read More

    Written by: Car_man on Aug 23, 2007 4:09:07 AM

Greetings to the appropriately named m6_4_me. The money factors that you were quoted look about right to me. BMW is not currently providing any lease support on the 2007 M6. Having said this, it is running a special loyalty promotion that reduces its standard money factor by .00085 for returning BMW FS lessees. If you are a current BMW lease customer, you should be able to do much better than the ... Read More

Yeah ... I agree that this generation isn't as attractive as previous ones. Many people I know still find the design stunning but, for the first time, I've made cosmetic modifications to a car that I owned -- I added the AC Schnitzer rear spoiler, and I think it really makes the car. I didn't do anything to my E46 M3 though. Here are some pics with the spoiler: http://www.m5board.com/photopost/data/569/MG_1979.JPG http://www.m5board.com/photopost/data/569/MG_1960.JPG ... Written by: redsoxgirl on Apr 4, 2007 5:45:18 AM

Last weekend I went out car shopping with one of my senior partners who is in the market for a coupe or convertible sports car or GT. In addition to Mercedes, Porsche and Aston, we stopped by a BMW dealer to check out the 650i and M6. I have got to say that I was shocked. I really haven't looked closely at the 6-series before - and now I know why. ... Read More

I have to applaud your "flexibility" in going from an E46 M3 to an E63 M6. Back last summer, my dealer gave me the hard sell on the E60 M5. I gave one a lengthy test drive while he priced up the trade of my pristine 2003 E39 M5. After 30 miles, I raced back to the dealership, took my M5 back and immediately confirmed an order for a 2007 911 ... Read More

its about time BMW comes out with a SL competitor. Its funny how a car that gains 500 lbs and you get a better center of gravity. haha IMO this car is more of a grand touring type of automobile. its really to heavy to have "great" handling.

Your enthusiasm for the M6 is beyond its capabilities. I own a 2003 M5 and was one of 450 original M1 owners. So I probably have twice as many years of experience with owning "M" cars as 99.9% of other BMW "enthusiasts". The M6 is a fine GT car. It is not a sports car. My 4,000 lb 2003 M5 would give it a run for it's money on a slalom ... Read More

I can understand your excitement about the M6 - it is a beast. But talking about taking out a piece of equipment required by US Federal law and making claims about the M6 beating a motorcycle border on silly. If you have proof of an M6 beating out a motorcycle (video preferred) I'd sure like to see it. I could see it perhaps beating some cycle cruisers or such, but put ... Read More

Bmw m6 has awesome torque and great stopping power. If you take out the catalytic convertor and put an exhaust, headers, take out all of the limiters, and put an intake and computer chip. The m6 will have about 700hp! It will kick a 911's or ferrari's butt anyday, and it will also cost less doing that. Look out! The m6 is here! It even beats motorcycles!

Bmw m6 will tear up porsches and even ferraris! Reason being is that although ferraris and porsches have faster acceleration, the m6 will have more torque at 200km/h than 911 twin turbo porsches. Same with ferraris. Why pay hundreds of thousands of dollars when you could get an m6 for just over 120 grand? The m6 looks real good and I hears from places that tested it that is GOOD!!! Well, I'm heres to tell ya that its only good if you like exceedingly heavy GT's that don't offer much in the way of a crisp handling visceral sports car. Given that we can fit our family of four in our 911S Cab, I honestly can't see the appeal of a massively heavy 2 seater ... Read More

I've had my M6C deposit down since I picked up my 2003 M3C. Last week the dealer offered me a June build M6 coupe. I went to the dealership yesterday to write the order. Imagine my surprise when they told me the M6C would be out in September (whether September was order, build, or delivery wasn't clear). First time they've even confirmed there was such a thing as an M6C, so ... Read More

Interesting video. I have had an M6 Cabrio on order for over 2 years, only to be told this week by my dealer, that BMW will not now be releasing the M6 Cabrio. Frustrated - just a bit. Instead they want to sell me a coupe now. Is this just a ploy I ask myself!!
