2016 Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Twin Engine Plug-In Hybrid 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl Twincharger gas/electric plug-in hybrid 8A)
After owning a Volvo previously, we bought a plug-in hybrid XC90 in 2016. The car is a joy to drive - the interior is an oasis of quiet refinement. We read reviews before road testing, so were anxious to try this SUV with and without the air suspension. I must say, the ride quality with the air suspension is fantastic. We watched Youtube crash videos of the new XC90 and its … competitors and came away convinced of Volvo's class-leading safety. This XC90 is packed with technology to improve safety and creature comforts.
After almost eight years of ownership and 44,000 miles, our positive feelings about our XC90 T8 are undiminished. It has been completely reliable (just several software glitches in our first three months of ownership) over our time with the car. The car's interior shows very little wear, despite regularly carrying our three very large Bernese Mountain Dogs. The seats have been supremely comfortable, and we routinely use the steering wheel and seat heaters.
We would only replace it with an all-electric Volvo EX90 when it is available later this year.
