Used 2014 Volkswagen CC Consumer Reviews
CC Sedan Lux VR6
Love this car except for a couple of VERY annoying things. The main problem is the backup camera and navagation system. My backup camera takes for ever to come on. So to me, it is basically useless. I have had it in to VW 4 times and even called VW Headquarters. They replaced the whole navigation unit and the actual camera itself. NO CHANGE. They said that this was just normal for this vehicle. Only excuse they could come up with. Very sad. I feel helpless because i paid a lot for this feature. Now there is a popping sound in the windshield. I will be in for that eventually.
Great power
I bought this car after driving and researching cars that did not cost more han 40.000 us. This car has great features, power is great and handling its amazing. 0 to 60 mph in 5.53 sec. Fuel consumption is great. Great lines and design. Headlights are one of the greatest improvement in this model, the nav is great, bluetooth extremely reliable with voice commands, you can do video in the screen and save music into radio hard disk. Fun to drive and if you want to feel the real power enjoy the Sport mode, it will kick full power in RPM when you accelerate. I drove a bmw 325, 335, audi 2.0 t, audi 5, ifiniti g37 and i decided to buy this one based on how good it felt driving it.

Almost 80,000 miles
update: Airbag issue fixed, now fuel pump recall, no fix issued yet ??, replaced all 4 tires ($1,028), 2 rear tires showed steel threads, will rotate now every 3,000-5,000 miles, still no fix on the suspension, even with lawsuits pending ? Rear tire have inside cupping after approx. 15,000 miles, road noise from rear seat area (passenger(s) notice, on my 1st scheduled service and tire rotation upon owning, the tires from rear to front caused serious road noise and vibration upon stopping, had dealership switch them back, now they tell me to replace the tires and get an 4 wheel alignment, seriously ??? they have less than a year road use, the cost to replace tires are approx. $200-$300 a piece.............+$100+ to align........very costly to the consumer, VW as known of this bad design since 2009.....and they continue till at least through 2016's models with same setup ??? Next why would VW lower the quality by installing Japanese airbags, two issues with the Tarkarta airbags with recalls that have caused deaths !!!! It's a German car built in Germany, why install CHEAP Japanese parts ???? I do love the VW cc and always believed in German engineering quality, but apparently young guns have started to make major decisions, even to a point of deceiving the consumer(s) I.E. TDI versions, now the tire cupping/ suspension issues, stop this practice and LYING VOLKSWAGEN !!!! And finally give the loyal customers, a well built car we pay for, and stop lying, and fix the issues, not cover up or Pay us OFF with unfair deals ( (1) set of new tires ???!!!! or $2,000 to shut us up !!!!, as of 5/10/2017, still no fix or update on Takata airbag replacement / repair ???, Love the car still ♡

Very attractive car.
Only dislike is entering as I need to fold my head while getting in. B pillar is in precisely the wrong spot but that's what mirrors are for.

B+ entry level luxury car
Purchased car used with 39,000 miles and owned to 59,000 miles. Overall decent value and smooth, comfortable ride with decent driving dynamics. Compared to 2012 VW GLI, quieter and more comfortable but noticeably more body roll in the corners. Mechanically reliable, although every time I rotated my tires they became (slightly) out of balance. I’ve read some other threads notice this is a suspension design flaw.

A Week into it, I love my 2013 CC LUX
I just took delivery of my new 2013 CC LUX in black oak brown with the two-tone tan/black interior and I LOVE this car! It is elegant, sporty, plenty quick enough for me and beautifully designed both inside and out. I still am astonished at how much people have complained about the grille redesign of the CC. It is relatively minor, and the car still reeks of German style and engineering (and, by the way, unlike the Passat and Jetta, is still made in Germany). It has the tight, "hard" Teutonic ride of a German car, but is also comfortable. The electronics, controls in the cabin and knobs and buttons all feel high quality and operate smoothly. The overall feeling of the car is quite Audi-like.
Great Car
This car is great. I have read the reviews, the one thing you need to know as a VW owner is to follow all recommendations from VW. If you follow the maintaince schedule you will be fine. Premium fuel is a must do not give the car anything less. German cars are expensive to maintain. If you have not set a budget for this car you need to do so. I have got 38k miles on my car and it runs great. I have noticed the people who complain about carbon build up are generally the ones who by regular fuel. Taking tour car on the highway frequently and using premium fuel should solve that issue. The only issue I have with the car are the windows in the winter. I don't have a garauge so I need to wake up earlier in the winter to de-ice my window so I can open my door.

My only regret was that it was leased not bought
3 years / 30 miles and there wasn't a thing wrong with it. It was actually heartbreaking to turn it in at the end of the lease. Everything I needed this car to do, it did extremely well. It was roomy, comfy, very stylish, practically luxurious, fun to drive, good on gas, and it never gave me a lick of trouble. Replacing this with a leased Jetta was like going to Arby's after dining at Morton's Steak House. While I lease that miserable car, I'm saving up to *buy* another CC.

CC burns oil
I drive this car in rural and interstate highway conditions. Unlike some, I find it to be very powerful, and I think it handles very well though it is not a racing car. And it also provides excellent fuel economy. I would say that, after 21,000 miles, it has met all of my expectations while leaving me with one major disappointment: The CC burns oil. This is a quote from the owner's manual: "Depending on the way the vehicle is driven and the operating conditions, oil consumption can be up to 1 quart per 1,200 miles (0.5fiter per 1,000 km). Consumption may be higher for new vehicles during the first 3,000 mile.s (5,000 km)." I think this is absolutely no standard at all.
“CC” To the Rescue
The 2013 CC Luxury Sedan (2.0 L/ T) is a vehicle for the ages.!! I understand now why (VW) did not import it to the U. S. till 2009. It hold its value as well as it holds the road. Luckily I do my own repairs. But if I didn’t it would be for naught. The car, like the Timex Watch, “Takes a likin’ and keeps on ticking”. If you want a car that your Grandfather wished he could own - get a ( VW ) “CC”. End of Story...!!
