2023 Rivian R1S
This was our first EV. I'm not going to lie, I was skeptical and worried going in to it. Would the range be enough. Would we get the range it says? Would charging be OK? Would I like 1-pedal driving? Would I miss the sound of an ICE? Etc. Etc. Etc.
I've owned a lot of great cars (Acura, Audis, BMWs, Infiniti, Land Rovers, VW) - from sports cars to SUVs. This is by far the best. … And what's even more amazing is it combines the best of all of them. Mind bending acceleration. Offroad capability. Great interior. Lots of tech. I could honestly list a thousand things I love. So it's easier to list what I don't - I wish it had a traditional sunroof instead of the fixed piece of glass (although it is beautiful) and I wish it had Apple Carplay. Outside of that, it's amazing. Wake up to a "full" tank every morning. When I have had to DC fast charge (we've put almost 6,000 miles on it in the first six weeks we've owned it) it's actually been great and will only get better as Tesla opens up their network in 2024 to other cars. One pedal driving is awesome. I honestly don't think we'll buy another ICE car.
