Takes a licking and keeps on ticking

1999 Mercury Mountaineer
Best vehicle I’ve ever had! I bought it 10 years ago with 50000 and it just turned 234567. I figure that’s about 15,000 gallons worth of gas. Oh, there’s a lot of little things that don’t work such as instrumentation/radio lights and drivers door has to be open from the inside, The only major work it’s needed was typical Ford front end rebuild and a new AC compressor. And spark plugs. … That’s it. I keep the oil changed and that V-8 keeps on running. AC is colder than my wife’s new car and more comfortable. I’ve been rear ended no less than six times in my commute to work with no major damage. I think I’ve waxed it once since I’ve had it but the paint still looks nice. It’s become a personal challenge to see how long it will last.
