2006 Mazda Mazdaspeed 6
I owned a new 2007 Mazda Speed 3 and sold it at 84,000 miles. I missed the turbo of that car so I bought a used 2006 Speed 6 because it the car came out 1 year earlier than the Speed 3 but had AWD vs front drive of the 3. Mazda messed up by not giving the 3 AWD .... would have been a better car vs Subaru WRX which I have drive many times.

The Sp6 only made two years, 06 and 07, … 5,000 units each year.
Both cars have heavy steering and with no automatic dual clutch in Sp6 nor the 3, [non-permissible content removed]. Not a great car for stop and go town driving. Manual needs precise shifting or you will start in 3rd not 1st and downshifting from 5th to 4th rather than going to 5 to 6.
So the pros with this car is don't modify with Cobb Port like I did with the Sp3 and 6 willl give you stealth performance with reliablity. Don't buy a modify Sp 6 or 3 because the car's life will be shorten and have reliabity problems over the long haul.
I have a big grin when on CA HWY 5 going back and forth from LA when some BMW or MB tries to blow by me when tailgating me. I
don't even down shift but just put the pedal down to let the 280 lbs of torque due it's thing. I seeing instant distance in the rear mirror.
They don't say anything at all when I slow down to normal speed because they knew they just got snuff by car for way less price -- a MAZDA???
Get 25 mpg if I keep the hwy speed between 70 and 75 mph. Higher than forcasted by Mazda.
I put on Mazda RX8 wheels on because they look much sharper than the stock rims and gives a BMW look
I bought my car at the end of 2015 with 91,000 miles and now have 112,000. I have other cars for daily in town transportation Mazda Protege 5 wagon and use the 6 only for trips. PR 5 is a great road trip car as well and even more comfortable seats than the Spd 6.
Until I bought those Mazdas, never knew much but I can say they have been a reliable, fun to drive due to handling, and the stealth of both cars are satisfying. I have owned Porsches but I'll take the Mazda anytime for lot less with money. I don't need to show off with those high price unreliable cars.
