Pretty sad build quality

2024 Mazda CX-90
I was excited to rent one of these. I drive around 30 cars per year and was looking forward to this one. The car drove fine (6240 miles) however build quality was suspect. The gear shift knob rattled, hood appeared to be skewed of to one side, gas fill cover felt like a piece of plastic. It took me 5 minutes to figure out that the car has to be off before the cover will release. … Mind you the rental was in NW Iowa and the air temp was -12 with a 25 mph wind. Turning off the car makes for a cold reentry. I love the Cx5. The CX 90 seems to cut corners.
