SO THANKFUL we found O.C. Auto Exchange!!! We feel it's important to point out that this dealership has come under new management just this month! Adan pleasantly greeted us and was very attentive to what we were looking for in a used car. Without our asking for it, he very thoughtfully printed out several options with photos that might meet our criteria. One of those was a car we'd been very interested in for a week but weren't sure we wanted to make the 56 mile round trip to check it out. Adan told us they could bring it to their lot for us to see and test drive. We were very happy with it and made the decision to buy it. The new manager, Benjamin, joined us to discuss the details: our purchase, title transfer, our trade-in, et cetera. We had a couple of issues that seemed insurmountable to us, but Benjamin kept pursuing possibilities on our behalf until those issues were resolved. Throughout this process Adan and Benjamin kept us updated and reassured. We felt we were able to be completely transparent with them and felt they were very direct with us. Even Devon, the young man who helped prepare the car for us to take home, was very friendly, kind and considerate toward us! They all went above and beyond the normal auto sales customer service and seemed to genuinely care that our needs were met! No pressure tactics were used in at any time from either gentleman. Words are inadequate to express our deep appreciation and joy!!!

Dealer Review:

I purchased a 2005 Toyota Four Runner from Paul. Mind you, I am an out of state buyer. Paul assured me that the vehicle was in good condition, that it had a solid frame, ran smooth, and that there was minimal rust underneath the vehicle. He even sent me pictures of underneath the car, which I now know, these were not pictures from the car I purchased but from a different vehicle. Paul had the car delivered to my house. When it arrived, the delivery driver informed me that the car did not drive properly. The brakes were locked up and it was vibrating badly when drove. I took it to a shop and was told that the car needed new brakes, rotors, calibers, brake hoses, CV axil, and the frame was completely rusted out. When I called Paul to talk about these issues, he blamed them on me and refused to discuss a refund. I would never purchased a car from there and I would not trust a word Paul says. Everything he told me was a lie and he was not willing to make it right (I don’t even think Paul is his real name). After I left the review above, Paul proceeded to contact me so that he could offer me money “to help cover the cost of the repairs” in exchange for a more positive review of his business. He then failed to follow through with his offer. My guess is he pays people to leave positive (and inaccurate) reviews of his business all of the time. This was a classic situation of a used car salesman taking advantage of an out of state buyer. I feel foolish for ever making the purchase but would like to help others avoid making the same mistake.
