2016 Ford Transit Van
We uses vans in our business for delivery and also service vans. When I started my business I purchased a Ford Cargo Van had engine problems. I have never had a problem free Ford Van in the 23 years i have been in business. THIS TRANSIT 250 takes the cake and FORD DOES not back its products. Brake issues expensive repairs. The worst is the ELECTRICAL WIRING HARNESS THAT ROTTED/ SHORTED … OUT AFTER 2 YEARS. There is a recall on it but FORD and its dealer state the our van does not have the Trailer Tow option so it does not come under that recall. We experienced the same symptoms dash board goes out to lunch and other electrical failures. Recall notice 17S34-S1 says that Ford will repair the harness, install a fuse and drill a hole for drainage in the drivers door stepwell to fix the problem. The dealer and FORD Motor Company denied the claim and refused to install the complete recall they charged me for the repair instead. After multiple phone calls and speaking to there customer relations dept. in the Philippines they would only refund half the repair and not install the recall. I had problems with vehicles that i have owned over the years and the manufacturer has always help the customer out. FORD has never backed there product its always a fight. From there problem Diesel engines and so on. I regard buying another FORD I guess I will never learn.
