E-85 makes the 4.7 run like a Hemi!

2008 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500
I bought my 2008 Ram 1500 from the original owner in San Angelo, Texas May 2021. It has the Lone Star package and is equipped for E85 gasoline. It had 63,789 on the odometer when I bought it and it was garage kept while he had it and was in nearly in new condition.It has Bright red paint and 20" rims with the heavy duty towing package. I paid $12,500 for it. Some of you out there are … probably thinking ( Dude! You paid 12500 for a used Ram 1500?? ) Well if you saw it, you'd understand.
Now, it runs pretty good as it has a performance tuner and a K&N 57 series cold air intake that together they boost the 4.7 from 310 h. p. to 360 h. p. But...... when I put E-85 in it... OMG!! Man, that has to add an additional 25 to 40 h. p. E-85 fuel has around 104 octane which is why my truck runs so much better with it. The only drawback to it is that when you use it your car gets much lower fuel mileage. With regular unleaded my Baby gets 18 m. p. g. on the highway at 75 m. p. h. .On E-85 my mileage drops like a dead goose to 11 m. p. g. It usually costs about 20 cents cheaper that regular unleaded. At the Valero station here in Laguna Park, Texas it's currently 2.89 a gallon). Is it worth it?...... Yeah but it's not practical for everyone, plus you can ONLY put E-85 in vehicles that have the " E-85 " tag on the back of the car. If you try using it in a car that can't use it it will damage your valves.
