BMW M2C Manual – 21,000 Mile Owner Review
1) I’ve had the M2C (6-speed manual) for a little over a year now, and it’s been nothing short of incredible. The first 1,200 miles were smooth—comfortable enough even on NY/NJ roads. Clutch is light, engine/road noise well-contained (though I wished for more volume in Sport mode). Tech and nav are solid, but the stereo could use a boost.
2) … Around 11,500 miles, the car really came alive. It revs freely to redline, pulls harder, and feels more responsive overall. Managed a 0–60 in 4.03. Tracked it a few times—great balance, strong brakes, no issues so far beyond factory service. MPG tops out at 26–27 on calm highway runs, though 6th gear revs a bit high.
3) Now at 21,000 miles, it’s still a joy. Just added an Akrapovič exhaust and intake—finally sounds as good as it drives. Black paint looks great but is hard to maintain; wish I went for silver. Still mostly stock, but thinking about coilovers and further intake mods.
I’ve owned everything from a Lotus Esprit to a Huracán Evo, and the M2C holds its own—pure driving joy, perfectly balanced for the real world..
