2006 Acura RSX
I bought my Acura RSX - 5 speed brand new in 2006, the last year before Acura quit making them. Back then it was a little more pricey than I wanted but what an investment! I got oil changes usually between 3-5k miles (never over) & with basic maintenance, I have only had to begin to replace major components within the last few years. I replaced the original clutch at 200,000k & the … radiator around 275,000k. In the past, I’ve had Maserati, Isuzu, Infinity, Mercedes & Jeep but this car is by far THE best, most reliable, least needy car that I’ve ever had. It is not anywhere near a luxury, technology packed vehicle but a car designed for the real & raw driving enthusiast - it handles well, it’s quick/agile, brakes are very responsive, you feel a lot in this car because of the rigid suspension & some people may not like this but I feel very in touch with road/in control especially because it’s a 5 speed. The driver & passenger front seats are bolstered & all the controls/dash are angled toward the driver for ease of convenience to give a race car appeal as well as a secure ride. Bonus: The front wheel drive handles great in light snow (1-1.5 ft) as long as you drive with common sense. No navigation system but my iPhone works just fine & never cost me a thing to update.
