1999 Acura CL
Purchased new in 1999. 3.0 with premium package. Vehicle received routine oil changes, a couple of brake jobs, few sets of tires, a battery, an alternator, drivers side window regulator and one timing belt/water pump service. We drove this vehicle VERY hard and it survived 130,000 torturous New York City miles, including daily full throttle acceleration, before the transmission … started acting up. This was used to make deliveries in NYC, was frequently laden with 1000-1500 pounds and suspension was all original. Don’t recall ever changing transmission fluid. We parked it for eight years once we started getting the hard/late shifting. After nearly a decade the CL started right up (tires were flat and dry rotted, battery needed a jump). Left it on the side of the road in the Bronx where it was promptly stolen. Incredible vehicle.
