I was looking to purchase a New KIA so I shopped around the internet like many people today. After seeing the ads and commercials on TV I decided to contact Ken Ganley KIA via their internet website. Almost immediately I was bombarded with texts from Holli asking many questions which was fine but later that afternoon I received a text from Holli asking if I was able to make it down to their site. I told her NO I never said I was going and that I wanted to shop for the auto from home over the internet first as I told her many times before. I asked her via text several times to have a sales person call me. I received a call from a gentlemen within the next 15 minutes. I told him what I was looking for in the vehicle and gave him my options on purchasing the car. I told him that he can either call me with the details and numbers or send me those to me via email which I preferred and in a HEART BEAT in Quickly replied “OH NO” we don’t do that, I said do what? He said we don’t give numbers over the phone or send them in emails, he told me over and over it’s OUR policy and we ARE NOT ALLOWED. He said I HAD to drive down there in person. I told him that’s ridiculous, I’m not going to drive 60+ miles one way to find out his numbers are not that good. He then said “WE ARE THE BIGGEST KIA DEALER IN OHIO” I said I don’t care how big you are, why do you advertise that you have internet sales then, he then said “WE DON’T ADVERTISE THAT” but keep in mind Holli is in internet sales she told me. I also think it absolutely ridiculous that you not only want someone to drive all the way to your site without knowing numbers BUT to add to the FEAR of the covid-19 going around that they would make this easier on the customer NOT HARDER! I take care of my elderly mother and have preexisting conditions myself , the LAST thing I need to do is to drive to Medina, 60+ miles one way to be inside an office with a bunch of people during these times. They evidently DO NOT CARE about anything other than trying to trap you in a sale. TO bad you lost me as a customer and everyone I can tell about my experience. You might think your ”THE LARGEST IN THE STATE” as the sales man said BUT ONE THING I CAN TELL YOU is that ““YOU WON’T BE SEEING ME IN A KEN GANLEY KIA””

I accompanied my son there to buy a used Jetta tdi, on the phone he asked about financing as he normally financed through his credit union, Seth told him they can offer 0%, so just use them. We get there, and he says 0% does not apply to diesels. He knew on the phone the car was a diesel. We live 2 1/2 hours away. We had to use their financing, it was Saturday so credit union was closed. Seth refused to negotiate on the price, we told him we needed his payoff, which was in the range of nada and kbb, we asked he go down on the price a $1000, he said so you want me to pull $1000 out of the air and on top of that pay your car off because you did not plan better? He left and talked to the manager, manager came out and raised the price of the trade in. My son really wanted the car as they are hard to find, so he took the deal. While we were sitting Kenton’s desk filling out paperwork, we hear Seth in his office very loudly telling a story with much profanity, [non-permissible content removed] this [non-permissible content removed] that. I am no prude, the word is a regular part of my vocabulary, but this was completely unprofessional. Kenton was wonderful to work with, he did not once talk down to us like Seth did. If it had been my decision, I would have walked away. I will never recommend this dealer, or this salesman, Seth Alrutz to anyone.

The LaFontaine Family Deal is for the LaFontaine Family of dealerships and not for their customers. They couldn’t be bothered with helping me find what I wanted, they only want to sell me what they had. I needed to get a vehicle quickly. I was told that they wouldn’t be able to get the vehicle I wanted with the option package I wanted from another lot. I did make calls to other dealers in the area but needed to move quickly. Before hearing back from the other dealers and being reassured that I was getting the best deal, I signed. Shortly thereafter I got the ‘out the door’ pricing from the 2 other dealers. One was $1200 less, the other about 1800 less. Because I already completed the paperwork I was not able to get the advertised best price guarantee.
