Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder
We purchased this car as a third car for commute purposes. The styling is polarizing - my wife loves it, I hate it. Regardless of the style, the car is a paragon of packaging efficiency - lot of room in a small package. The car moves well and keeps up with traffic on both the city and highway. The car is very smooth, but there is a tradeoff in handling due to the smooth ride and tall structure. The S has very useful comfort features standard - including bluetooth and iPod connection. Up to about 70 mph, the car is pretty quiet; however, there is a noticeable increase in noice after 70. This is a great car if one needs a practical commuter car.
Amazing!!!!!
I purchased my Nissan Cube in June 2010 from Lee's Summit Nissan. I have enjoyed the vehicle ever since bringing it home, but recently you have won me over as a lifetime customer! I live in Kansas City and we've had two major winter storms recently with the latest being a blizzard that dumped over 12" of snow in my area. Everyone I work with was getting stuck and calling for friends with 4x4 vehicles to take them home. I got in my Cube and drove right home, up hills, through snow drifts, over ice, and on roads packed with several inches of snow. The Cube was amazing! The traction was outstanding and the vehicle felt secure on the roadway. This vehicle is awesome all around!

Loving this car
I had a 2008 Nissan crewcab Titan which was sideswiped by a high school student, I drove a rental Honda Civic for three weeks while the truck was in the bodyshop. Though I love trucks, and always have to have one around (I'm buying my son a smaller truck, he's 17) I absolutely loved the freedom of the better gas mileage of the Honda--$20 a week vs. $80 just minimal around town. But it felt cramped and uncomfortable to me, the ride wasn't great, etc. So I checked out and bought an '11 Cube steel grey Krom loaded with bluetooth, Nav, Xm, the works. It is a very comfortable car--it is a BLAST to drive, it has a very nice ride, and the CVT wrings quite a bit of performance out of the engine.
Great little car
This is my second Nissan Cube. It's a quirky car that get compliments and jokes from strangers for its appearance. It looks a bit like a child's drawing of a car. Best thing is that it's the most comfortable car I've driven. The seats are high up and solid. There is plenty of leg room for the rear seat. I have a bad back but have driven this from New Mexico to Washington State and back with no medical issues. It is easy to get into and out of...especially with my back problems. There is an amazing amount of headroom which friends over 6'6" have commented on. The windshield and windows are large and high giving ideal views. There is plenty of room to store things inside. The Bluetooth is excellent. The XM Radio is a great. A good selection of audio options Upgraded sound system with subwoofer. The Navigation system could only be improved if it were voice activated. Keyless ignition is a plus. The rearview camera is superb. The rear door opens to the side like a refrigerator door rather than lift up which I prefer as I'm tall and don't hit my head on the door. Oh, and the car is a lot of fun to drive. Steering is accurate. Breaking is sure. Acceleration is poor from a stop. It accelerates fine on the open road. Fuel economy averages about 33 MPG between city and highway driving. It strains a bit on steep hills. I've driven it up mountains, along deserts, on open roads, in congested city driving in Seattle, Portland, and Denver. In other words, I really enjoy driving this car. Storage is fine with the back seats down. It's a bit cramped with the seats up but I have added a rack and carrier for when I need more storage. Wind noise can be a problem at high speeds although I got it up over 110 driving through Wyoming and didn't notice any issues. Crosswinds can be a problem as the car is a boxy and a bit top heavy. It drives fine in the snow. The heater is excellent. The air conditioning has kept the car very comfortable in Phoenix heat. The car looks like a toy but it's tricked out with serious car details and accessories. If anything, it's my adult toy car. I've had this car for two years now. In the past year, I've driven from Albuquerque to Las Vegas driving a very large loop through Zion National Park on the way there and Phoenix on the way back. Also, just drove to Salt Lake City on a route through Moab, UT and back via Colorado Springs, CO. This car handles well. It can keep up with traffic. It is not a muscle car or a truck or a cruiser. It is just a practical car that reminds me how much fun it can be to drive. This car does just fine around town with plenty of room for groceries and other shopping. It holds its own on the open road. It won't win any prizes for speed but it's gotten me everywhere I want to go. I am so sorry Nissan isn't importing this to the States any longer. I understand there is an AWD and an electric version in Japan. The AWD would be ideal here in Northern New Mexico. Three and a half years with this car and my review remains the same. Other than an occasional long trip, I don't drive that much. The car's mileage has recently improved a bit. Sometimes, I would like a bit more storage room inside my cube but it's no reason to start looking for a new car. The interior has held up well in the desert sun. The white pearl paint holds up well, too. It is nimble to drive. The turning radius is small. It suits my needs ideally. I hope this lasts a long, long time. This car in into its fourth year now. I'm commuting to work daily now with a mix of surface streets and freeway. This little underpowered wonder gets me wherever I need to go. Have only needed standard maintenance on it so far. It's holding up very well. There are a good number of Cubes in Albuquerque but this white one still turns heads. Maybe it's because it looks like a miniature ice-cream or milk truck. Whatever the reason, it's easy to find in a parking lot. The interior has held up very well. It looks almost like new. The seats remain comfortable. My back can still tolerate long drives in this. I'm not so fortunate when I'm a passenger in friends' cars and we go for long drives. Then, my back is fairly stressed and I'm in some pain. I've no idea what Nissan did with these seats but they should be the ones used in all their cars. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Got Cute Cube
I have had my Cube for about a month now. I love it. My husband is a big guy & at 1st didn't want to test drive it but after I talked him in to it, he loves it too. It's way bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside. It handles very well and has a tight turning radius. You can park this car anywhere and get into very tight areas. It is extremely quiet. The transmission is awesome in this car, you can not hear it shift. It handles bumps in the road great. I have drove it on ice and snow and although the tires are small it handles great. It has alot of storage area in it. The back seats lay flat to make more cargo area and it's great.
It's Hip To Be A Cube
I love my Cube, I got an all souped up SL, with a navigation system. My friends love being in the car, I'm 5'3, and I feel like I'm bigger than most cars because the seats pump up and offer a great view. Okay gas compared to it's competitors - The Soul, Element, and XB - it beats them all. There is so much space for passengers, not so much in the back, but it will handle a trip to Costco with two people just fine. It's not a race car, it has no guts, but comfy for long trips, unless it's very windy it can make a lot of noise because the car is a non-aerodynamic cube. Going up a steep mountain isn't the best, I went to Big Bear with it, people passed me, but it made it. Overall B, good price.
My favorite little Bull Dog!
Got a Great deal at Dirito Brothers in Concord, Ca.! Love my Golden Ginger color. So far gas mileage has been awesome! first tank 37.5 second tank 36, mixed driving, light foot. My other car is a Mustang G.T. convertible, and I been using my Cube more! Looked at the Kia Soul, nice but rough ride and poor gas mileage, Looked at Honda Fit, more expensive and couldn't get comfortable in it ( I am 5'11 240 and 47y.o.) I kind of like the looks, really tired that most cars all look a like today. But I am really into Ikea too.Used to have a Chevy H.H.R., more cargo room, but only got 25 m.p.g., and really bad, front visibility & blind spots!
Hip to be square
Cube is different, huge interior, comfortable seats and features, and hip and cool. If you have to explain the cube, you will never get it. I just got mine 1800 miles ago and I absolutely love it. Traded in my mini cooper convertible with a terrible rough ride. Getting over 32 miles per gallon and hatchback and drop down rear seat makes storage very strong. Cube is a winner. It's hip to be square
New Krom is Rad
Traded my Ridgeline for a 2011 Krom to conserve fuel and because I no longer need a "big" car. I wanted something a bit different. And while I only have a thousand miles on the Nissan, I could not be happier. I also wanted to give Japan some business in light of the recent calamity. I got good value and feel that I did a good deed.
Love Me a Cube
I thought I wanted a Soul until I did a drive comparison between a new Soul and used Cube. The cube beat the Soul hands down, drive-ability, control and comfort as well as headroom and overall feel of the car was so much better in the cube. I love the look, other "cubers" wave at you and I have people asking me about it all the time. Due to a bad hip the in and out drivers seat level is perfect. My car began its life as a rental, was wrecked after just three weeks, was repaired and I bought it used with a salvage title. I have owned it for over five years and never had an issue with it. I keep the maintenance up on it. I understand Japan is no longer exporting the cube to the U.S., this makes me sad, as this is the perfect car for me and I would buy another in a hot minute! My only negative is the light weight car plus boxy shape means you really feel strong cross winds on the road.

Pretty Cool!
I have only had this a week and I really like it I don't see to many on the street so I feel like I have a unique advantage. My favorite is bluetooth and I like the color
Feels like the Basilica inside!
Getting in and out of the cube is complete different experience than other cars. So much space inside! Yes it feels spacious, yet it is a compact car. Mines is Bitter Chocolate. I figure why get just a normal color like grey or white for such an exceptional vehicle. This is a car I actually look forward to driving. Too bad my wife has it for most of the day.
Love this car!
Purchased this car a little over a month ago ~ has not yet failed to impress me. Gas mileage is excellent, performance is excellent, comfort is also excellent. Love the fun Nissan put into the overall appearance inside and out. The wind noise really isn't as bad as anticipated, but is noticeable. Was worried about winter driving, so took it to the mountains and drove up a steep muddy/snow covered gravel road ~ "Uggie" didn't miss a beat! Cannot wait to drive it in the snow now!! Overall, a very comfortable, fun car ~ Love It!!!
When you drive a box...
I think that most people take aerodynamic vehicles for granted these days. With a Cube, you're driving a box. A square box. When highway driving, road debris doesn't bounce off a Cube's windshield, it impacts. On a windy day, your cube shakes around the road because it's a box. I've had my cube for three years now, ever since my wife insisted on buying it, then refusing to drive it anymore and bequeathing it on me. The interior is comfortable, the car is roomy, but the things that matter don't deliver. Gas mileage tops out at 29-30mpg on the highway, a stiff breeze will blow my cube off the road, and every tiny pebble kicked up from the road is a crack in my Cube's windshield.
This Dog Can Hunt!
I purchased my 2011 Nissan Cube a year ago and put over 60000 kilometers in that time. I have performed meticulous preventative maintenance and use symthetic oil. The car has been extremely reliable thus far and gets excellent fuel mileage! The Cube is very comfortable with thick padded seats and has plenty of headroom for tall people. My SL model is fully loaded with the likes of heated front seats, Navigation, Back-up camera, climate control and a Rockford Fosgate sound system mounted on the rear door. My only complaint is that the interior plastic paneling scratches very easily :(
better than what even good reviews say
We only buy Nissan in our family. Currently own a pathfinder, I traded in a fully loaded altima only 3 years old & completely paid off for the cube, there was no room in the altima for me, carseats and a 6'3 husband. Best decision to date. I have owned my Krom 10 months & room is great for groceries and car seats. Back seat adjusts, bonus. Gas mileage I was only getting about 25 city, until I hit about 8 k miles and rotate tires. I drive backroads daily for work, no highways. I get 30/31 now city and 36 when I drive the occasional highway, seriously. I fill my tank every 10-14 days, which is great. Downfall little compartment storage & not speedy, but I have adjusted. If it fits u buy it.
Spacious and economical
Sorry that Nissan discontinued the Cube, mine has 77,000 miles on it now and I expect it to keep on forever. Driving is fun, with great visibility and lots of head and shoulders room.

What a great little ride!
We just got our cube a couple of weeks ago. We could not possibly be more pleased. For the price, this is the best car on the market. If you can live with the styling, you get so much comfort, ease of access, mpg, and functionality in a well-designed package.
10* For Design
I had a Scion, which I loved , but the Nissan Cube is the ride I wanted for the same assets. Namely, it is small on the outside, but LARGE on the inside. Plus it is boxy, an has the wrap around window. Inside, I love the colored lights, and the little sagg on the dash. MAJOR, it is soooo easy to get in and out of. Best of all, it does NOT look like a. boring sedan. Negatives, it is air noisy, mainly because I added windshields over the front door windows. Also the seat slants down on the right and needs a half pillow to be comfortable. This little van is GREAT. SO MUCH SO, IT GETS A 10, in spite of two or three minor room for improvement details. Who decided to eliminate. This auto in lieu of all those generic looking boring sedans.........
2011 Nissan Cube Red
Bought my 2011 Cube in Red, used, was about 11 months old, with about 16k miles, got it for about $14k total. I traded in my 2007 PT Cruiser for a Cube. I love the look/interior/headliner! I did NOT get the extras; 20 color lights/Rockford stereo/better seats/better ac/heat dial (wish I would have), but it is still a great car! Rides pretty bad (like a truck), and you have 2 hold the wheel at all times (very shaky and flimsy) BUT after I had the car a few months I was doing about 50 on the interstate and could not avoid a 12 foot piece of wooden fencing and I went right over it without ANY damage or problems! I love Nissan! BUT my PT was a much better car! I would buy another cube!!!!
Quirky and fun!
The cube won out against the Kia Soul. My cube is so spacious. With the rear seats down, I fit a dresser and 2 boxes of clothes in the back! Does not handle great in the snow, but I can't be too judgmental on that piece since my previous car was an SUV. Also disappointed in the audio system. Imports usually have high quality speakers as stock, not Nissan. Overall, I grade this car as a solid B. The quirky and fun design makes driving it a blast and I have never had anything go wrong with it.
Great buy!

Utilize the MPG technology
This is a great car! I have 34000 miles and it drives very good and quite comfortable. You must deduct about 2.2 mpg from the instant dash meter to get an accurate mpg est. that being said if I put my cruise control on 59-60 for a 55 mile stretch I get 41 mpg one way and 42 mpg back. That is after deducting the 2.2 mpg. I use syntheitic oil, I went to 9.9 pound wheels with a 35 oz spacer on all 4 wheels. In a week or so I will put on new oem size rubber but they weigh 2 pounds less than the oem tires. I use a light weight crank pulley as well. If you find a place that sells ethanol free gas it may help slightly. One pound of turning weight equals 4 pounds of static weight.
Melting Dollop of Ice Cream - 2011 cube sl
I have only owned this white 2011 Nissan cube sl for 3 weeks, and it is the summertime, but I also own a Miata and have preferred the ride in the cube. I love everything about it, and I have no complaints other than the somewhat questionable acceleration (a true CVT with some electronics seemingly making the decisions). That being said, it gets out of its way, and doesn't have any issue on the highway. The Miata is like being in a tightly laced sprinting shoe, the cube is more like a pair of flip-flops. Super comfy, easy to update, super affordable, super roomy. I actually smile when I am riding around in it. I really don't know why this was discontinued... If you don't want a cookie-cutter car, and need an affordable, comfortable, four seater that you can park and actually fit four full sized people in, then you really need to look at the few cubes left for sale.

A SENTRA TOO.NISSAN IS NO LONGER A GOOD CAR.LEMON
You would think after owning a car for 5.5 yrs., I should know if I like it or not. But just as I reached the 5 year mark, at 35, 000 mi., the CVT tranny was ground into pieces . But, I do have to say NISSAN CORP. treated me quite well. Before and after this, I have had no issues. I am now at 42,000 mi. and have made friends again, with my car. For the first 5 years, I had such a crush on the little car. The circular patterns in the cabin are great and it has as much visual personality as I do. Mine is base and one thing I love/hate about it is how close I can get to the windshield. I always have to make sure not to get so close, because my knees fight with the steering column. I am 4ft. 10 in., so the vision is one of the best, but, I just have to remember to not adjust it to maximum closeness... It rides scary on the hwy., driving 70-90 mph in the higher winds. Milage is ok, unless tranny is going out...I get 26 in town and 30 hwy. Me and my cube are now entering into the second stage of our relationship and the reason I say the jury is out is I have yet to see if it lives up to the expectation I had when I bought it, LOGEVITY! As long as it allows me to continue driving THIS CAR for the rest of my Texas Hill Country Driving Life, I will forgive that CVT triflin'. I am 62.5/f and Its so hard to tell because I only average about 3500 mi. per year. I see the car holding its resale pretty well, as the BOX CAR Cult is alive and growing! There must be something about that large, rather flat windshield, as I see others on the road with the same cracked windshield. I oughta follow my gut on this off-market Nissan and invest in the best warranty I can get, just to guarantee the longevity I crave, now that I have no payments and only liability on a fixed income. I have heard it called "a grocery hauler; a pretty ample description! I find it lags on the hills up there, but the car is used to Houston flatlands. So, with all the bitchin' I do about her, I have ask "What do I like about it that makes it the "longest I ever owned a car"? I bought it new, so any dents, or lack of maintenance are on me, I know where it has been..NO WATER DAMAGE AND AN AVAILABLE TITLE... AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, it starts when I wake up and gets me where I have to be every morning that I have to be somewhere. So, I do love it for its fidelity, but I got eyes on it and one more issue with it "slippin' around could ruin me and my cube...BUT, I am a hard taskmaster and require a lot for my money...Not planning on parting with it anytime soon!

very awesome car
Like many, when i first saw the cube i though it looked a little odd, like a shoebox. But once you step inside, the deisign is amazing and the interior is suprisingly spacious. I thought it would be a bad idea to get a brand new car as my first car, but with this car, its not. Its short so its easy to park, u-turns are a breeze, and it has excellent visibility, making this an excellent choice for a new driver like me. The safety features are also a great bonus. I HIGHLY recommend this car for any one who wants an eye-catching car thats fun to drive.

Soft Paint Job
I recently purchased a Nissan Cube from a dealer in Toms River, New Jersey. My Cube is parked in my garage each night. I have had the Cube five months now. After a few weeks I noticed scratches by the front left wheel, then some scratches on the hood, and in the back, and so on. Then I got stuck in the recent snow storm here in the northeast (October 2011). My car was covered with several inches of snow and I only had a plastic shovel to clear my car off with. Needless to say my car now has scratches from getting the snow off. There are also several more scratches I cannot attribute to the shovel that I assume were from the highway ride home thru the storm. Unfortunately, the warranty state
Five stars
