THIS IS THE 2024 WGONEER S LAUNCH EDITION – I am now 9 months and 7923 miles into this experience. Here’s my verdict. RELIABILITY: for an out of the gate vehicle outstanding; NO serious issues; a check engine light that freaked me out initially, required a “hard reset” by disconnecting and reconnecting the negative 12V battery cable; NO bricks, NO tows. Some minor stuff handled expertly … by the dealership. BUILD QUALITY: very good, tight. Quality, comfortable interior materials. COOL STUFF: lighted seven-slot grill; 19 speaker McIntosh sound system; ambient lighting; integrated screens (no slapped-on laptop); rear wing spoiler > no rear windshield wiper necessary; TECH: intuitive screen functions: SAFETY: outstanding headlamps; adaptive cruise control and lane centering; video camera rear view mirror; excellent audio and 12" screen video lane departure warning system. RIDE: Jeep like, don’t expect a pillow. GET UP AND GO: never knew how awesome 600 HP could be. This baby rocks when it comes to on-ramping in tight traffic, smooth nearly vertical torque. RANGE: calculated range 287 – 316 (but know this – charging any 300-mile average range EV from 20% to 80% yields but 180 miles before recommended recharging. TO IMPROVE: regenerative brakes can be grabby; tires less noise. BUY it again? You bet. Can’t wait to relive the driving experience every day.
