2021 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid 4dr Sedan (1.5L 4cyl gas/electric plug-in hybrid CVT)
Still love this car. My wife has an Accord, and I have a Clarity base model, though I drive hers on occasion. My favorite thing on this car is being able to do most of my daily driving in EV mode. I average about 120 e-mpg as a result. However, this car does have to be "managed", meaning, you should know what mode to put the car in before you set out. Normal, Eco, HV, and Sport, but … HV can be combined with all but Eco. The car is pretty silent in EV mode, and less noisy than my wife's Accord while in HV Mode, and even in "HV Charge" mode (which some complain about). I find the acceleration to be reasonably brisk, especially in Sport mode. Its as heavy as an SUV (3700 pounds), but not top heavy, so takes a curve without breaking a sweat.
Much has been said about the Entertainment system being antiquated. I didn't buy it for that, and I find Apple CarPlay to make the matter mute. I do care about the audio quality, and that is pretty decent. Much has been said about the styling of the car, but I definitely like the styling.
I bought the extended bumper to bumper warranty, out to 100,000 miles. I did this because car repairs have ratcheted up since the Pandemic, and decided the $2500 extra was good insurance against inflationary surprise repair bills.
