2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation 4dr Double Cab 4WD SB (2.7L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
2023 Sierra Elevation Got the 4cyl 2.7 turbo not really recommended for towing , that's ok cause I don't plan to tow anything anyway but they had to include a $350 trailer brake controller... but not $70,000 for a new truck but no Owners manual ... they say, get an up to date smartphone and download the App for it... really ? GM you SUCK ! Update: Salesman negotiated with … head of sales and finally got me the Owners' manual.
UPDATE: I bought (New) the double cab Sierra Elevation as my garage is only 20ft deep and a crew cab wont fit. Everything seemed fine, but at 15K km a rad hose blew. I was told that my truck was built before August of 2022 and had two small rad hoses. After August the design was changed to one longer S hose.(so there was obviously a design/function concern) at 25K check engine light came on. Service dept tells me that on of three fans under the hood has seized up. (warranty replacement) took truck back very next day as the fans sound like a jet engine roar. Service tells me the computer driving the fans seems to think the truck is in -40* weather. A software update is done. At 30K there is no heater or defrost. I'm told the heater assembly relay needs to be replaced. again under warranty. I paid more than $70K for a new and reliable vehicle, and so far reliability is not there. What will it be like once the warranties are gone? Traded it off at 32K. Now driving a new Tacoma, a bit smaller but dependability is much better !
