Lute Riley Honda
Dealership Service Review
Several years ago, my Accord's engine overheated and I took it to Lute Riley and paid them several thousand dollars for (supposedly) a complete engine rebuild After several years and numerous trips back, it's become increasingly obvious that either they didn't do the rebuild they claimed they did (and this is what my other Honda mechanic tells me) or else they did the work badly. After numerous trips back to Lute Riley (when for example they claimed the reason just one cylinder was misfiring and fouling the plug was because I needed a carburetor rebuild... which of course wouldn't cause that on just one cylinder). I let them do the rebuild, about $700, but of course that didn't fix the real problem, and their mechanic even noted on the service note that "this problem will recur." Last year I took the car to them and left it with them for several months, and when finally called them and they said they had fixed it, about all it looks they did was replace my battery (which had a warranty) with a little toy (motorcycle?-)sized one that didn't have a warranty. And still I've got the same problems... low power, poor gas mileage, one fouling plug, misfiring and the like. The dealership doesn't want to fix my car properly, and make it right, like I paid them to do. I called them again several months ago and spoke with them at length about this issue, and they promised to get back to me to resolve this, but they haven't done anything. Their service department is clearly dishonest and disreputable. BEWARE! Don't let Lute Riley cheat and rip you off the way they did me...!
