Dealership Sales Review
We went here to test drive a particular car (and we made it clear that we ONLY wanted to test drive, we were absolutely in no way in the market to buy THAT DAY) and the foreign sales person still made us go through the same stupid pushy crap that they normally do. It's like ALL they are educated to do is go through their sales model, and when you throw them something else- a curve ball- instead of actually listening to you, they ignore you and keep pushing. But this is where it gets good- if you go there and explain to them you have no intention of buying at least for a few months, be prepared for DAILY phone calls asking you what they can do to wrap this up. It will come from different people too. After you explain to them that if they don't stop calling, you're not going to do business with them at all- and that YOU will call THEM if you have any questions, be ready for them to ignore what you just said and have the audacity to ask, "So what can we do to wrap this up?" And then when you explain AGAIN what you just explain and tell them not to call you again, be prepared for them to call the next day. I think the fault lies in the management and training program. It isn't the salesperson(s)' fault that they aren't taught how to deal with situations where people actually HAVE a brain and won't be pushed around. They need a better training program or better management soon or they're going to drive all their customers away to [another dealership].
