AutoNation Ford Katy
Dealership Sales Review
I found shopping for a used car at this dealership a huge headache and waste of time. I worked with Mohammad and he did not know very much about the cars or at least didn't give me much information on the cars I was looking at even though he had been there for 15 years. He wouldn't negotiate on the price at all and it had the warranty built into the price to where even if you didn't get the warranty it only brought the price down 500 dollars. He ended up just pushing me through to finance because we had been talking for 4 hours without any real negotiation except on monthly payment and APR rates which shouldn't have even been discussed at that point (I realize this now after going to other dealerships). When I got to the finance guy (unfortunately, I didn't get his name, black skinny bald guy), I told him I was not happy with the price on the fusion I was trying to get. Well he was understandably annoyed because he doesn't negotiate price, that is what the sales person was supposed to do. But then [non-permissible content removed] gets on the phone and asked whoever to come get this "pendejo". At this point I got up and told the guy it isn't the best business practice to call a customer a pendajo to their face. I guess he thought I wouldn't know what he was saying, I don't know. He tried telling me he called the sales guy a pendejo, and that he would never be so "unprofessional" as to call a customer a pendejo, trying to back out of what I clearly heard. Grabbed my insurance and ID and left. Two days later, I bought a 2014 fusion with under 9k miles at 16k from Gulf Coast Ford down in Angleton (about 3 grand cheaper than the poorly conditioned 2013's autonation was selling with like 30k miles) . They were super friendly, straight forward and most certainly didn't call me a Pendejo to my face. They did have overpriced full warranties, but I just didn't get one, you never get what you pay out of them.
