AutoNation Ford Katy
Dealership Sales Review
I've been out of the new vehicle market since 2014 when I bought my last truck. When I started looking for a new F250 in Mid-May 2023, I experienced the drastic changes that have occurred post covid, and with the chip supply chain issues. I quickly learned about the lack of available inventory and the high demand for these F250 trucks. So I called 11 different Ford dealerships and told various salesmen what I was looking for in hopes of jumping on a previously ordered truck that a buyer backed out of at theblast minute. I literally built an excel spreadsheet with all of the salesmen that I spoke with, their direct phone numbers, email addresses, and notes on which dealerships had vehicles coming in that fit what I desired. But those all had a buyer's name attached to them so my chances of getting those trucks were entirely dependent on the buyers backing out, and I also had to compete with other buyers like myself who would jump on a cancelled order. Jim Rodriguez at AutoNation Ford Katy got busy looking and immediately texted me a picture of a window sticker of one coming in that was a dealership inventory order. His text said, "Will this work?" It was the best text I've received in a long time!!! I jumped on it. I'm having some additional accessories added and Steve Drier in the accessories department has also been outstanding to work with. In Finance I bought the premium care warranty and service packages working with Jaime. All great people to work with. I'm looking very forward to driving this truck a long time. I always buy new trucks because I put a lot of mileage on them (30k per year on average) so I like to be in control of the maintenance from day one because I typically keep every truck for 3-4 years after I pay them off - which is almost always around 300K miles. I'm 52 now so this truck will be with me into my early 60's.
