AutoNation Ford Gulf Freeway
Dealership Service Review
We were contacted regarding a recall notice on our Explorer (back axle bolt fracture). We agreed to an appointment on Thursday at 10:00 AM. At that appt. we were then told it was an “extensive recall involving 2-3 business days”. This should have been discussed with us at FIRST contact because we were not prepared to be down to one vehicle for that many days. But, my husband and I had already taken off work to make this appt so we went ahead and left my vehicle. Get a text late Friday that they didn’t have the part so had to order it but said it would be in on Saturday. If you are contacting me for a recall, you already know exactly what part is needed…WHY would you have me drop off my vehicle if you don’t have the part???? We hear nothing on Monday. Tuesday 8 AM, my husband texts our assigned service member for an update. We hear nothing, so I call at 9:30 AM. He’s with customer but will call me back. Finally at 12:30 PM my husband gets a text that the “part just arrived”. Vehicle is finally ready Wednesday afternoon. Poorly organized.
