Dealership Service Review
The title of my review says it all! I like 1st Texas Honda's service dept. I bought my used 2005 Civic Hybrid from Howdy Honda. I didn't like the attitudes of their service personnel who always seemed to give off an air that they were doing my a favor by servicing my Civic. Howdy Honda did an airbag recall on the driver's side but never bothered to mention that the seat belt wasn't sending a signal or that that because of that lack of signal my airbag would not deploy. One day on a whim, I went to 1st Texas for an oil change. While there I was informed that the driver side airbag wouldn't have deployed in the event of an accident. I was also informed that the passenger side airbag was eligible for a recall replacement. They called me when the parts arrived, I made an appointment, repairs were made without cost to me. Add to that the fact that my synthetic oil change at 1st Texas is half what Howdy Honda charged me and now I'm a fan and loyal customer. My only complaint is that they never seem to remember to put an oil change sticker in my windshield, but I guess I can live with that oversight. If I ever buy a new Honda while I'm in Austin it will be from First Texas Honda.
