The sales people needlessly wasted our time--will not be buying from them. My wife and I scheduled time off work on a weekday to test drive a new Honda Pilot. I made an appointment through the Internet sales person and arrived on time. We were interested in finding out about the Honda Sensing package features as we were comparing them to Toyota Safety Sense, so had a lot of questions. When we checked in, we spoke briefly to a manager who assigned us to a Korean sales person who greeted us in Korean. Although my wife and I are Korean-American, we don't speak Korean very well and said we need someone who could speak English. The sales person said that was ok and showed us to the car. When we began the test drive and we started asking about the trim levels and how to engage the safety features like lane watch and adaptive cruise control, we quickly realized our sales person did not speak English. We were left frustrated trying to explain our questions and could not understand what he was saying. Why did these people assign us to a sales person who could not speak English? We didn't ask for a Korean sales person, and we specifically told them we couldn't speak Korean and needed someone that could speak English. Just because we looked Asian and because of our last name, we were forced to get someone that couldn't speak English and completely wasted our time. It makes no sense to me--the manager who spoke to us could obviously tell we were English speakers (my wife and I have no accent) and he assigned us anyways basically because of our ethnicity and completely wasted our time. Even after we let the sales person know, he didn't try to find an English-speaking associate (there were plenty of sales people standing around, from what we could tell). Because of these [non-permissible content removed], we need to take more time off of work and go to a different Honda dealer for a more informative test drive. If we do end up getting a Pilot, it won't be from these guys.
