Dealership Service Review
My service advisor Greg was not transparent and honest with me regarding the service work on my BMW.I was confident that I only needed a battery and within 3-4 minutes of sitting as his desk he told me the work would be over $1600 dollars and put a contract in front of me to sign. I asked if that was the price for the battery and he indicated that they must do “diagnostics”…$217.00 etc, etc. Keep in mind I was still in possession of the car. So was truly trying to up-sell me on anything that he could. I told him that I had purchased an extended warranty that I KNEW covered $100 toward a new battery and that he must contact them before work to get it authorized. Even after reminding him at least 3 times to call for authorization, he didn’t do so. In a nutshell this “simple battery replacement” ending up costing me over $700 dollars. It’s sad that a BMW dealership takes advantage of this long term client of over 15 years!
