I have a dodge intrepid that I took into this dealer for some work. The car had been running perfectly for a number of years but it was time to replace the timing belt. I also had them put on new accessory and serpentine belts as they had to remove them anyway. They did the work at a fairly competitive price even after gouging pretty heavily on the accessory and serpentine belt. Two days after they did the work, the belts start screeching terribly. We took it back in and after three hours the mechanics wouldn't give much of an answer about it other than to say they adjusted the belts. No write up of work done. Ok...So we drive it home and about 20 minutes later we have an errand to run. The car won't start. Dead as a door nail. We call dodge and they send a tow truck who is able to jump the car so we can limp back to dodge. After another hour, one of the mechanics tells us the battery is bad. We had put in a new battery 3 months prior and never had an issue. We ask him for other details and all he will say is that it "tests weird". Nothing else. So we leave and the next day we take the car to the mechanic who replaced the battery before. The battery is under warrantee. The mechanic reports that the battery cable connections were loose and the contacts were stretched and this may have caused one of the cells to be damaged. Battery is now replaced...but who knows if the other work dodge did on the car is shoddy too? So after three visits to the dodge dealer, my fine running dodge no longer runs perfectly. Dodge was unable to do standard maintenance successfully. I called them after the whole fiasco just to let them know about the whole experience. They haven't gotten back to me. I would recommend anyone considering a visit to this dealer's mechanic shop reconsider.

Dealer Response
Hello Marcus777, We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the belt replacement. It is normal for the belts to stretch, and we should have tightened them a bit more to begin with. Our Master Certified Technician did the belt replacement, but nothing he did required him to do anything with the battery. Our work was done according to factory-standards and we would welcome any questions you have on the work done or further testing. Please call our Service Manager, Dave Principe, he would be happy to assist you. He can be reached at 406-652-2071. We strive to provide an outstanding experience and we appreciate your feedback. It will be utilized in our ongoing training efforts. We would appreciate an opportunity to earn back your trust and business, and to demonstrate our commitment to customer service. Sincerely, Kevin Smith, General Sales Manager.
