I had a very disappointing experience shopping at Lexus of Cerritos, and I want to share it here to raise awareness for others and to give this honest feedback to both the dealership and the Lexus brand for improvement Early this year I finally decided to go with Lexus TX after reading numerous YouTube reviews and testing drive a bunch of other brands. This was my first time buying a Lexus, and I was shocked by the unprofessionalism I encountered at this dealership. 1. Got different Car than what we reserved - Back in this March, I reserved a Lexus TX350 that was still in transit, after getting an attractive quote from the salesman. A couple of weeks later, I was told that the vehicle had arrived. However, when reviewing the contract, I noticed that the VIN was different from the ones I originally reserved. The salesman never informed me of this change or explained why the original car wasn’t available. I let it slide at the time since the trims were similar, but it was a red flag when I looked back 2. Unauthorized Hard Credit Pull - We intended to purchase the vehicle with all cash, so we didn’t expect a credit check. Out of trust, We provided our SSNs when asked, but surprisingly the dealership ran a hard pull without notifying us. When I raised the issue, the salesman simply said it was Toyota’s requirement and told us we could dispute it if we wanted. It was shameful that how Lexus treated our privacy and credit history so carelessly. 3. Surface Protection Not Applied - We paid one thousand buck for a surface protection package in our TX. However, when the vehicle arrived, no protection appeared to be applied. I had to pay out of pocket to get the car ceramic coated elsewhere. It was definitely one of the most horrible shopping experience. I have never seen such unprofessionalism and didn't expect that to happen in a Lexus dealership. While I’m happy with the vehicle itself, I felt disrespected throughout the entire process. I hope this review helps others. If you’re considering buying from Lexus of Cerritos, make sure to 1/ Confirm you're getting the exact vehicle you reserved, 2/ Ask clearly before providing your SSN, 3/ Double-check that any add-ons, such as surface protection, are actually provided
