Jim Click Hyundai Automall
Dealership Sales Review
I bought a 2009 Hyundai Sonata in April 2008 from Jim Click at the Automall. The car salesman was OK. There weren't any high pressure sales tactics used. The problems began to happen once the finance department sales guy took over. Make no mistake about it, they are sales guys first, finance guys last. Once you start to add extended warranties, car alarm systems, or anything else for that matter, the numbers in the forms start to get manipulated around in such a way that it is hard to determine if you are getting ripped off or not. I found out latter that some of the extended warranty costs had been shifted into the car price. This make it less appealing to cancel the extended warranty should you decide to do that. To make matters worse, when I went to the dealership to cancel the extended warranty, the finance sales guy "took care of it". The quotes are there because he in fact hadn't canceled the extended warranty. I called the financing bank two weeks later to confirm that the extended warranty cost had been credited to my account. I had to go through the Jim Click business office to get the necessary forms mailed to me so I could get the extended warranty canceled. Luckily for me, I started the process one month after the initial purchase giving me enough time to complete the process before the three month full refund period expired. My advice to you is to be VERY careful with the finance sales guys. Determine what other options you want for your car before you get to the dealership, and then carefully go over the details of the sales contract BEFORE you sign it. It looks like dishonest employees are still employed at Jim Click Hyundai at the Automall.
