Jim Click Hyundai Automall
Dealership Sales Review
Yesterday my husband and I visited Jim Click Hyundai at the Tucson Auto Mall and expressed an interest in a 2011 Sonata to our salesman. (One of our vehicles had been stolen and we were awaiting a settlement from our insurance company.) We did not expect to purchase the car that day and were educating ourselves on the Sonata. We test drove it and were very impressed. We informed our salesman that we were not going to purchase immediately but were very interested. He introduced us to his "manager" and his manager told us that he understood our situation and that when we returned and were ready to purchase that he would give us "employee pricing." We went home and did some research and looked at the brochures that we were given, read reviews, and realized that the Sonata SE was a very high quality, reasonably priced vehicle that was in high demand and that we would go ahead and see what kind of deal we could be given. The very next day I called the dealership and talked with my salesman, asked him some questions about the purchase price, and all of a sudden his "manager" took the phone. I told the manager that we were very interested and reminded him that he offered us "employee pricing" the day before. He abruptly told me ... "that offer ended yesterday." I could not believe my ears! He never told me that the offer ended yesterday -- the day we talked to him!!! But he did tell me to come on in and his general manager would make me a really good deal! Funny how the story changed. Yes, it was the end of the month, but when they offered us "employee pricing" they never stated that it was only good until the end of the day -- which just happened to be the last day of the month! How stupid did he think we were??? A deal is a deal, written or verbal. They did not get our business.
