Used 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer Consumer Reviews
Really Nice SUV
I really love my TrailBlazer. It is a very comfortable vehicle. Have had it 3 1/2 years. Only problems have been clearcoat peeling on rims(warranty fixed), temp control sensor (warranty fixed), and front wiper motor. The front windshield wiper issue was a recall that should have been fixed by the dealership, but a friend of ours (a GM mechanic) looked it up and found out they took the cheap route and didn't replace the whole thing. The only issue I have now is gas mileage. It is average for a SUV, but may have to trade off since I have a long commute. The computer says I average 17.8. At highway speeds (55-70), I have seen instant economy of 19-30 though. Have to readjust outside mirrors rarely.
Not a good SUV at all
I bought this SUV hoping it would be the best yet. However, all I have had is problems! The transmission was just replaced. I stalled out on a freeway ramp. Started smoking at 1,500 miles. The interior needs some work. The shifter should be on the column. Radio is confusing. Plastic is hard and ugly. Outside is the ugliest Chevy I have ever seen.

Great Ride!!!
On road and off, this vehicle has performed wonderfully. 21K miles without any mechanical problems and much better gas mileage than previous explorer.
Last Chevy I Will Buy
Bought 1 year old with 27 K. Have had nothing but problems. 4 recalls. $1800 spent replacing computer modules at 90K. Very uncomfortable ride. Fit and finish are poor with huge, uneven gaps. Heavy body sway. Feels like a boat but less safe. The large space has come in handy a few times. I wish I could afford another vehicle.
2002 Trailblazer LT 4 wheel drive
The Trailblazer rides very smooth and very quiet. It has plenty of power. I have had no problems at all with this vehicle. I previously drove a 1997 Blazer that I ordered new. I liked it, but the Trailblazer is far better.
