Chevy Express Van

Our company operates a fleet of delivery vans in 1/2 to 1 ton ratings. Our oldest (2003) Chevy 1500 van now has over 260000 miles in which time we have replaced the water pump, and alternator, and a pinion seal. That's it. No brake pads / rotors or any other part other than oil, filters, and tires. These new (2003-2005) vans have performed far better than the Fords and older GM vans in terms of reliability, gas mileage, and tire mileage. The handling and brake performance is a tremendous improvment over the other vehicles in our fleet. We often operate high mileage vans but none have been as trouble free and the new GM vehicles. They are all have the 5.3 engines and 3.73 gears. Good Job.

Fuel, or air? My van goes down the road fine

Until I pull a hill, then it bogs down, if I let up on throttle and feather it I can get to the top at reduced speed. Do I need fuel system relays, sensors, ? Or is it the air side of it, I can't take it to shop, on ssi need to fix myself. Also after driving a few miles it will drop out of of to direct drive, is this shift module or other?

Flower Van used on funerals

We use an Express van at our funeral home. It's overall a good work van, easy to drive especially on long trips. I'd actually take the Chevy Express over our old flower van (97 Ford E-150) any day.

We purchased our van for our antique furniture business. We have had nothing but great luck from this van. No mechanical failures or cosmetic issues to date. This has been one of the best vehicles we have ever owned. Everyday it is outside waiting for work and never fails to deliver. We have the small v8 and it has plenty of power but we do not tow anything. Long distance comfort in unmatched but sadly this van is around town only now. We purchased a 2007 Dodge Sprinter because of the roof height. It is a more useful vehicle for our needs but the Chevy never fails. I highly recommed unless you need the high roof.
