First full EV and I love it
Ride quality is beyond expectations. Very quiet, peppy, lots of tech and plenty of range for me. A super value

Bye Tesla
6 months review We leased a model 3 for three years and mostly enjoyed it but the customer service was awful, the quality was mediocre and it was missing basic features like a gauge cluster, physical controls, apple carplay and a sunroof shade. Initially we looked at the Ioniq 5 as a replacement but the price was insane for the lack of features. The ID4 seemed promising but the use of capacitive controls was a deal breaker and it was hard to find a lower trim level. The Bolt euv was in our peripheral but I always dismissed it due to it being a GM product. That said, we decided to test drive it and walked away rather impressed. The drive performance was not nearly and fun as the Tesla or Ioniq but the ride quality, interior fit as finish and laundry list of features really wowed. Inventory was scarce and most dealers were marking them up by 5-10k. After calling all dealers in the state of NJ we found one that had a blue 2023 on order with a promise of no markup. We put a deposit down and a few months later it was ours with NJs 4k EV credit taken off at point of sale. The blue color is a little loud and the car is definitely nerdy looking. I think most of our family and friends still question our choice. I don't care because I absolutely love this car. It's been trouble free for 6 months. The 360 camera, wireless carplay, cooled seats, rear view camera mirror and super cruise have been enjoyable amenities. Our other car is a gas Subaru outback so we use that for long hauls and outdoor recreation. The Bolt has been great on road trips where we can charge at the destination overnight. Pretty soon the bolt will be outshined by GMs other new EVs coming out but I would suggest grabbing one while you can because the bang for your buck is just too good in a world of 50k+ EVs.

Nice car - Wish they kept making them after 2023!
Bolt EUV is a great commuter car. Note that it works best for those that charge at home. If you have to rely on DC fast charging, don't. DC fast charging is a bit slow and the cost benefit of having an electric vehicle goes away. The fact that GM paid to have my 240 volt Level 2 charger installed, plus the federal tax rebate in 2023, meant that I got a new car for about $20K that has operating costs half that of a comparable gas-powered car. Interior quality is nice, even on the base trim - much better than what I had in my Chevy Sonic and a little better than what I had in my Cruze. Base trim still has really nice features like wireless Car Play and wireless phone charging. Car is very quiet on the highway - very little wind noise and only a little road noise. Folks have complained about the tires, but they've been fine in Texas weather. Be sure to rotate tires every 5 or 6K miles. All in all, this is the nicest new car I've had out of a long line of Chevys (01 Malibu, 08 Aveo, 14 Sonic, 18 Cruze). ------------ Update 1: It's been nearly two years with the car, 36.5K miles - no problems. Maintenance costs so far - $0. My local tire shop does free tire rotations, and that's been done every 6,000 miles. Tires aren't quite halfway worn down. I'm about to change my wiper blades for the first time. Efficiency per the car's report is 4.0 mi/kw. At 12 cents/kwh, I've paid about $1,250 to drive 36.5K miles. (Accounting for about a ten percent loss from the home meter to the car.) Comparing fuel costs to my other car (38 mpg Nissan Versa), I've spent about a half to a third of what gasoline would have cost me. It's been a great car so far!

Really Like It
Had the car for a week and are very impressed with it. Drove 170 miles from the Central Valley to the Bay Area and loved the ride. Great interior, intelligent cruise control, ventilated seats, quiet ride, plenty of performance, and great pricing $33,295 MSRP for the Premier. Fed tax rebate ($7500) Get the Premier.
Zippy and spacious
Enjoyed the test drive. More road noise than I would like. Great leg Room front and back.
