Test Driver Ratings & Comments

Acceleration commentsAfter every possible combo of DSC on/off, normal, Sport and Sport +, manual, D or DS, the quickest run was Sport + and DS with traction on. Launch mode produced too much wheelspin and was actually slower. If I "pedaled" it, it would short shift, reduce engine output, or both. There's so much electronic wizardry going on it's impossible to know what works best or even what to expect from run to run. Lightning shifts!
Braking commentsSolid, trustworthy pedal, zero ABS flutter/noise, negligible fade. Very good brakes.
Handling commentsMild understeer with ESC off, steering doesn't say much about grip level or skid-slide of front tires. With Sport + mode, ever-so-slight brake intervention (if at all) with essentially identical results. So many issues in the slalom. Where to begin? Manual mode on transmission actually downshifted as I whacked the throttle on exit. Lame. Steering (in Sport/Sport +) is heavy for heavy sake and no feel. Also in Sport/Sport +, it's very flighty, nervous and hates dip at cone #3. Best turn in normal with ESC off, but even then there wasn't enough grip to go with the quick responses. There's so much "static" in the suspension that it's very hard to ever feel connected to this car.
