"Readers' Rides" Showcased on New Edmunds' InsideLine.com Blog
SANTA MONICA, Calif. — October 21, 2011 — For real car enthusiasts, reading about cars is the next best thing to driving them. Edmunds' InsideLine.com, the premier online resource for automotive enthusiasts, today announced the launch of "Readers' Rides," a growing compilation of photos and stories sent in by site loyalists.
"It's like a virtual 'show-and-shine,"' commented Edmunds' InsideLine.com Editor In Chief Scott Oldham. "Everyone's got something to say about their car — and about each other's!"
A recent entry by "fredpzo" begins, "Everyone loves to dream, especially red-white-and-blue-blooded Americans. I'm the proud, original owner of a mineral grey metallic 2005 Ford Mustang GT. I dream of driving it on smooth, twisty mountain roads with absolutely no traffic or fear of speeding tickets."
In another submission, "bchase01" wrote, "I purchased my 2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5 in April 2010 as a Certified Pre-Owned with 16,000 miles. The reason I chose this over the Passat was because it was more youthful and sporty. As I am a recent college grad, I figured it would be best to hold onto my youth as much as possible as it is quickly fading in the real world."
The blog is a fun supplement to InsideLine.com's Long Term Road Test blog which follows the trials and tribulations of a fleet that currently includes a 2011 Chevy Volt, a 2012 Fiat 500 Sport and a newly purchased 1991 Acura NSX, among other cars of wide-ranging interest.
