Honda Accord Wins Edmunds' Inside Line V6 Family Sedan Comparison Test

The Inside Line editorial team recently compared four fully loaded six-cylinder family sedans:

  • 2008 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ (MSRP of $27,245 and Edmunds.com True Market Value® (TMV®) of $27,245), equipped with a six-cylinder, 252-horsepower engine and six-speed automatic transmission;
  • 2008 Honda Accord EX-L (MSRP of $30,895 and TMV® of $30,482), equipped with a six-cylinder, 268-horsepower engine and five-speed automatic transmission;
  • 2007 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE (MSRP of $32,560 and TMV® of $30,573), equipped with a six-cylinder, 270-horsepower engine and continuously variable transmission
  • 2007 Toyota Camry XLE V6 (MSRP of $31,619 and TMV® of $28,439), equipped with a six-cylinder, 268-horsepower engine and six-speed automatic transmission

The 2007 Nissan Altima came in second place and impressed the editors because of its sporty feel and numerous features. The 2008 Chevrolet Malibu earned third place for its elegant styling and low price. The 2007 Toyota Camry took fourth place and was applauded for being powerful and well-equipped.
