Edmunds.com Releases Updated Android App with Used Car Pricing Information
SANTA MONICA, Calif. — September 23, 2011 — Edmunds.com, the premier online resource for automotive information, has updated its Android smartphone app to allow for more thorough research of both new cars and used cars.
The used car features added to the latest update now offer users the ability to research the specifications of used vehicles and to configure and appraise them with trade-in, private party, and retail prices based on Edmunds.com's True Market Value® (TMV®) calculations.
"The initial launch of our Android app for new car research was a major success and the most common feedback we received was a strong desire for used car information," said Jennifer Cleverley, director of mobile technology at Edmunds.com. "We heard that feedback loud and clear, and car buyers now have an even better app to help them negotiate their new or used vehicle purchases with confidence."
In addition to used car pricing and specifications, the updated app has also added a new color options gallery that allows users to see pictures of a model in all of its available colors. The updated app also incorporates feedback from users that improves the way information is organized for both new and used cars.
The Edmunds app for Android combines Edmunds.com car research, pricing, specifications, photos and inventory search in one powerful car shopping app to help users find and buy the new or used car they want at the best possible price. Users can research car pricing, configure a car to specific requirements, read Edmunds.com car reviews and find regional True Market Value® pricing. Users can then locate a new car at a dealer, contact the dealer for a price quote and have the research at their fingertips to help get the best deal on the car.
