Edmunds.com Names Chrysler 300 "Editors' Most Significant Vehicle" for 2005; Announces 2005 "Editors' Most Wanted" Awards
LAS VEGAS — November 2, 2004 — Edmunds.com (http://www.edmunds.com), the Internet's premiere resource for consumer automotive information, today named the Chrysler 300 the "Editors' Most Significant Vehicle" for 2005. This accolade is awarded annually to a vehicle that, according to the editors at Edmunds.com, significantly changes the rules of a given segment, creates a new niche or redefines an automaker's image. "The Chrysler 300 has changed the rules of the family sedan segment, adding dynamic looks, a roomy and upscale interior layout and, in the case of the Hemi-powered 300C, substantial performance," observed Karl Brauer, Editor in Chief at Edmunds.com. "This is an exceptional vehicle, and represents a tremendous achievement in the effort to make cars 'cool' again especially when SUVs are losing their appeal for many buyers."
Past "Most Significant" award winners include the Nissan Titan, Nissan 350Z, Mini Cooper, Chrysler PT Cruiser and Honda Insight.
