SANTA MONICA, Calif. — February 8, 2013 — Edmunds.com, the premier resource for car shopping and automotive information, today announced the national rollout of Edmunds Price PromiseSM, an exclusive online service that provides car shoppers with special up-front prices from participating dealers. Introduced this week at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Convention & Expo in Orlando, Fla., Price Promise is proven to convert more car shoppers into car buyers by delivering a higher volume of quality leads, while also jumpstarting the negotiation process.

Dealers enrolled in the Edmunds Price PromiseSM program provide special upfront prices on available cars and trucks to the millions of car shoppers who use Edmunds.com every month. These prices can be viewed online only by shoppers who provide their contact information, which is immediately sent to the dealer's CRM system. Edmunds Price PromiseSM dealers can also streamline transactions by assigning a single point of contact to walk a car buyer through the process, as well as publishing other key differentiators, such as a shortened sales process, service offers and warranties.

In the weeks leading up to the announcement, 46 dealers in four separate markets participated in Edmunds.com's pilot program for Edmunds Price PromiseSM and the results were remarkable. Edmunds Price PromiseSM dealers report a 50 to 80 percent increase in leads through Edmunds.com and are from four to ten times more likely to convert a listing into a lead.
