Thanks to all previous posters for helping me in my recent purchaseof a 2011 CX9 AWD Touring. After lots of research I closed on the following: Vehicle price: $31,200, w/ moon/Bose, powerlift gate + $200 doc fee + TTL. Although I live in NC, I had to go to Maryland to get an AWD. No dealers in either NC or SC had a Touring AWD and I didn't want to pay ... Read More
Just bought a CX-9 in May. Same problem with shuddering brakes after 5,000 miles. I thought that they were going to give out on I95 last weekend. Also, I have had problems with the paint and cheap sheet metal buckling during washing and waxing. If dealer cannot fix brake problem, I plan to return car under Maryland's Lemon Law. I could see brake problem evolving into a recall issue.
I have a similar issue with my 2010 cx9 grand touring. i have ~28K miles and plan to ask the dealer/service folks about it today … we'll see how it goes but i kinda got a feeling it won't go well.
I have a 2010,cx9 and checked everywhere to find a siruis radio that would work, I was told I good get a aftermarket and attach it somewhere. I wanted the Mazda radio.. Have had our 2010 CX9 Touring model since January 2010. It attracts dings - I was on a stool drying the roof and front windon and leaned on the hood and dented it. A couple of reasons. One, the invoice is usually not the actual price the dealer paid for the car. With hold backs and other hidden volume incentives, their cost is often lower. Second, it was a 2010 which is now a full model year old. The car had not sold in over a year. If it was around much longer, they would have had to sell it at wholesale for even ... Read More

So, you are mad at the GPS because you did not read the manual? Press the compass at the upper-left corner. It toggles between north-oriented and heading-oriented. Same for Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus' GPS unit. As Davicho said, Denso makes GPS for Lexus/Toyota. Our GPS is closer to Lexus' ones than Toyota's, albeit some functions were removed. So, consider it a "stripped" version of Lexus GPS unit. Map stinks? Yes. Your map ... Read More

Mazda customer service replied via email that a soft reset of the cell phone might help. I hardly think that is the solution but will give it a try
thanks vg33e. Worked like a charm, sounds great. But I think Mazda definitely needs to offer a better solution for future CX9s - i.e play and charge at the same time. My iPod Touch lasts several hours before needing a re-charge but with older MP3 players it might be an issue.
Just plug your mini stereo cable to the AUX inlet inside the armrest and you iPod (MP3 player) and select MEDIA on your radio and voila!! Do not charge your MP3 player at the same time that you are playing it, because you will experience an annoying engine noise interference...its a known problem and Mazda's solution was to simply not charge and play at the same time..go figure!
There is a reason why knowing your vehicle costs you much less in maintenance. If the same had happened to me, I would read the TSB first, and try it fix it myself if my CX9 was out of warranty. Check the most recent issue of ConsumersReport. CX9's record is pretty good, though not top notch like Highlander/Pilot. However, it shows that CX9's repair records are mostly red circles (you know what I mean if you read ConsumersReport) other than body hardware, which is an empty circle (i.e. so-so). That website has been under construction for a while now. Glad that it is back on line. As expected, for 2007-2008, the new version is "F" with 2008.1 map.
