I am having this same issue with my 05 Escalade, no warm air from the rear vents, but fully functional controls and normal function in the front system. What is the auxillary control module, where is it and how do I recalibrate the system? Thanks

I'm a repeat buyer of Escalades. I just traded my absolutely wonderful, low miles 2003 Escalade for a new 2011. The difference is night and day. I found the ride on the new Escalade almost unbearably painful. The seats are hard (due to the heating and cooling) and the huge wheels with performance tires are gorgeous, but cause my Escalade to ride worse than my son's new Ford F250 Super Duty ... Read More

The problem with your rear heat, is most likely an actuator that is inoperative. I took my 2003 tahoe to the chevrolet dealer just recently and thats what they replaced. Now i have rear heat.

Unfortunately not, I had it into the dealership for an oil change and tire rotation the other day and talked with them about it again (for the 3rd time). I am fed up with this dealership for many reasons (pretty sad when its a Cadillac dealership) a new dealership opened locally for Cadillacs so I am going to try taking it there hopefully within the next couple of weeks. I just purchased a beautiful 2003 Cadillac Escalde but cannot get the rear heat to work at all, it simply blows out cold air. I took it into the local Cadillac dealership service and one person told me something was wrong with it while another told me there was no rear heat in a 2003 Escalade. I believe they will. They can't do otherwise. Cadillac's comeback is a long arduous road. I believe it began as far back as 1989 when they lengthened the diminutive FWD C-bodies to the point they at least looked presentable. Then the 1992 Seville and Eldorado really got the ball rolling. Then the Northstar V-8, the 1998-2003 generation Seville, the Escalade, the first CTS, and now the second-generation CTS. I believe their ... Read More

Her is some interesteing data from July 2007. According to the industry examiners at CNW Research, Cadillac’s fortunes appear to be slipping away at the margins. In the firm’s July installment of their Retail Automotive Summary, their Aspirational Index (which judges a brand’s attractiveness to consumers) reveals that Cadillac’s rising star is beginning to falter. In the mid-Nineties, the marque rated only a 4 on a 10 point scale. With the ... Read More

The problem you described just happened to me this morning. Did you ever get yours fixed? I've had a number of electrical problems with my 2003 ESV, including several blown fuses, power window and heated mirror malfunctions all within the past year. I am currently working with cadillac.com to resolve. This is just the latest problem.

Steve, I sure had interest in the 2003 Escalade ESV last year but I decided to keep my Mercedes ML500 another year. I even thought about the 2004, but now, the 2005's are here and the body style will change soon. I guess I'll keep driving my ML, most likly, for even another year until the warranty expires.   At this point, I wouldn't buy the current Escalade, I would wait ... Read More

Goto Edmund's review and click on "In the Pipeline" or whatever it says about the future Cadillacs. It will be called the Escalade XL with an addition of the standard Escalade in 2003. The Escalade is going to be revised internally interior-wise to have its own look similar like the STS and DTS for 2003 as I understand which will further distance the Tahoe and Denali cousins.
