It's a real auto show now. At least that's how some in the industry see the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. It's officially a trade show designed to showcase the latest in aftermarket parts, designs and trends, but an increasing level of participation by top-level manufacturers has turned it into an official launching pad for performance vehicles of every sort.
Then there will be the SEMA standards like the Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang. There's never a shortage of new ways to remake a muscle car, and SEMA always has the latest trends and concepts. Look for a few versions of the latest Ford F-150 and Ram 1500, too, as pickups remain popular starting points for new projects.
We'll cover those vehicles and everything in between starting on Tuesday, October 30. We'll have photos, blog posts and plenty of tweets to keep you up to date on what's happening in the world of automotive customization at this year's SEMA show.
