1999 Volvo C70
The timeless design is simply gorgeous yet it's subtle, elegant. Apparently featured in some Saint movie that I didn't watch.
Super comfy chairs & very soft suspension took some getting used to (can't feel the rd, imo) but then... It's like riding on a cloud! Overall, an enjoyable drive.
The best part: I've the optional sound system w/ like 400 something watts. I've yet to encounter … another stock sound that's even close! Amazing bass that u can actually hear. Overall very full but clean sound... An audiophile's dream come true.
So, I practically drove this to the ground. 2 major accidents. Yet my only problem (& I hear it's common), is that the dash got loose so when I hit bumps, the bottom of windshield smacks the dash. I stuffed it w/ a bunch of foam, seems to help some. But that's the only problem.... This is a solid car! & Could've, would've continued driving if it weren't for my alcoholic loser ex losing it. 😫
Oh my 1 other complaint is the power seating is SOOOO slow. Other pros tho: elegant interior feels spacious considering the car size; lux features r std... i.e. heated front seats (butt warmer), daytime running lights was cutting edge for that time, fog lights that's both highly functional & good looking; surprisingly roomy back seats & trunk; also appreciate the golf club hole in the trunk (the time when I locked my keys in the trunk, that was a lifesaver.)
Last... Extremely rare! I loved that unlike my current car that I c everywhere, I spot a C70 like once or 2x a yr. Yep... I desperately tried to but was unable to replace this.
