2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid
First, I was really excited to get our Jetta Hybrid SEL. Has all the options and 42/48! Now the bad. Takes premium gas, we never get above 40mpg, it’s small inside and trunk, the switch between electric and gas is not smooth like our Highlander Hybrid, oh and the “dry” DSG transmission needed to be replaced out of warranty at 64,000 miles (VW will only warranty the new $7,000 … transmission for one year too!). Pretty disappointed in VW that they haven’t recalled the transmission in the US. In other countries that uses the same transmission they have either recalled or extended warranties to 100,000 miles (US warranty ends at 60,000). Stay away from this car unless you want a major headache.
