Perfect Road Trip Towing

2007 GMC Envoy
I bought our 07 Envoy SLT a few years ago because my family wanted to start camping with a travel trailer. It was 14 years old and had a little over 100,000 miles on it. The main selling point was it’s towing capacity. We knew we would buy a small travel trailer that would weigh less than 5,000 pounds. Using a weight distribution hitch means towing is very easy. My family of 4 took a … 3-week, 5,000 mile camping trip out west, and our Envoy was perfect. Very comfortable and roomy ride. It pulled very steep hills while towing (I wouldn’t want to do it every day), but handled it well. Long, 10 hour days of driving were very doable. 2 years later and 140,000 miles, still running great and towed a camper to the beach and back easily. A REALLY great midsize SUV! I would buy another one in a second!
