24 Month Update:::
More issues in the last six months, including the High Voltage Junction Box having issues that instead of being replaced, Ford released a software update that restricts power flow to/from the battery to prevent the junction box from overheating. This results in your vehicle periodically operating at 30% power, which is rather poor performance. Otherwise, 12volt … battery died one day after a software update and I had to get it towed again. I'll stick to this as a summary: when it works, it is a great car, but if you're looking for reliability it is pretty horrible in that category.
18 Month Update:::
Unfortunately, while still fun to drive when the vehicle is actually operational, the Mach-E AWD LR continues to be a pretty horrible purchase in retrospect.
-Brakes/Rotors continue to have issues. Have surfaced multiple times since the original time they were 'machined'.
-Multiple check engine light issues, most local dealerships still can't work on these so wait times are usually a month or longer in order to get the new mechanical issues resolved
-Winter battery life is awful. During non-winter months I seem to get around 275ish miles on a full charge. During winter months (and let's be reasonable, I am in North Carolina so winter is mild) I get maybe 200 at the most. It's pretty horrible.

I purchased my 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E AWD LR on July 1st, 2021. Since then I've run into multiple issues:
-Rotors have had to be 'machined' due to them sticking
-Brakes constantly having 'clunking' noises. Any time it rains, they become shaky--not the usual slight amount of rust that forms, but really shaky, bumpy braking
-Recall on Windshield and panoramic roof glass panel that my local dealerships 'can't work on because they're not certified'
-System errors that result in the vehicle needing to be restarted while in the middle of driving
I would expect some minor issues since it is the first model year and new technology, but most of the issues are on things that have nothing to do with the new technology and are more of quality assurance type issues. The main problem, however is that none of the local Ford dealerships are 'certified' to work on the MachEs. I'm not in a rural area, I'm outside of a large city.
