Best Family Truck Ever

2005 Ford Excursion
I owned two Excursion Limited 4x4s; a 2000 V10 and a 2005 6.0L Diesel. Both were great for school events and Cross Country family trips with our two daughters and their friends as well as towing up to a 20K lb. trailer. I spent lots of time at dog sled races in fridgid cold and deep snow and at dog shows in scorching Western U.S. Summer heat and neither of them let us down..ever. I'm … looking for my third Excursion, this time an Eddie Bauer as were retired but now have three grand children and need a vehicle that can carry 8 people and their gear all over again...not to mention as a tow vehicle for mr '69 Camaro. This time one with a bit more luxury as it will likely be our last, and an entertainment system for the kids as they grow will be perfect. We've had numerous Jeeps, trucks, and SUVs but the overall usefulness and practicality of an Excursion can't be beat. As far as fuel milage and maintenance go, I've always been satisfied that we got our money's worth from them.
