2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV
I have owned this car for a little over a month and I'm still learning about EV's (I'm a newbie). I can't really compare this car to other EV's, but I wanted an EV that wasn't going to wipe my bank account dry. I did a little research on this car (this website and Youtube) and made the decision to pick this car over other EV's. Where I work at, I get free charging, so it's a bonus for … me. The wife and I bought a 2023 Kia Soul and the Bolt is a much more comfortable ride, plus its acceleration is faster than the Soul. I only drive 10 miles a day, so I don't need to charge it for a couple of weeks.
The car is comfortable. I bought the basic model with no upgrades (no heated or electric seats, no super cruise, no Bose speaker infotainment system). My car doesn't go to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, but why would I want to get that fast that quick? The car is plenty quick enough for local (in town) driving, which is what I'm mainly using it for. I do want to do a long trip someday, so there will have to be some planning when it comes to charging the vehicle.
The Bolt isn't the most attractive car, but I added door edge protectors, which added some red highlights to my black EUV and since I was born in Baltimore, I added a Ravens sticker on the bumper LOL.
People from work ask me how I like the car and I tell them that it's a fun ride. It gets me to work and home and it's pretty nimble for a small car. The downside is the slow charging speeds, but since I can plug my car at my work for free, it's not bad at all. I haven't paid for electric so far. Although I would love to own a Tesla, I am not willing to shell that kind of money for a car (unless someone dies and leaves me a large sum of money or if I win the Lotto).
