2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV
Bolt EUV is a great commuter car. Note that it works best for those that charge at home. If you have to rely on DC fast charging, don't. DC fast charging is a bit slow and the cost benefit of having an electric vehicle goes away. The fact that GM paid to have my 240 volt Level 2 charger installed, plus the federal tax rebate in 2023, meant that I got a new car for about $20K that has … operating costs half that of a comparable gas-powered car.
Interior quality is nice, even on the base trim - much better than what I had in my Chevy Sonic and a little better than what I had in my Cruze. Base trim still has really nice features like wireless Car Play and wireless phone charging. Car is very quiet on the highway - very little wind noise and only a little road noise.
Folks have complained about the tires, but they've been fine in Texas weather. Be sure to rotate tires every 5 or 6K miles.
All in all, this is the nicest new car I've had out of a long line of Chevys (01 Malibu, 08 Aveo, 14 Sonic, 18 Cruze).

Update 1: It's been nearly two years with the car, 36.5K miles - no problems. Maintenance costs so far - $0. My local tire shop does free tire rotations, and that's been done every 6,000 miles. Tires aren't quite halfway worn down. I'm about to change my wiper blades for the first time.
Efficiency per the car's report is 4.0 mi/kw. At 12 cents/kwh, I've paid about $1,250 to drive 36.5K miles. (Accounting for about a ten percent loss from the home meter to the car.) Comparing fuel costs to my other car (38 mpg Nissan Versa), I've spent about a half to a third of what gasoline would have cost me.
It's been a great car so far!
